LAKESIDE LIONS POOL PARTY
Why not get into the carnival spirit early and head along to the Pool Party at the Opunake Community Pool on Friday 5 January from 5-7pm! Entry is $5 and includes a drink and a sausage. Lots of fun to be had with games, races and lucky dip prizes.
The Opunake Community Pool is located on Longfellow Road.

THE BIG DIG
This has been a long time favourite at the carnival and it involves hundreds of children digging in the sand to find a winning popsicle stick. The timing on the dig is dependant on high tide.
There are three sections and everyone gets a prize! to be won. There are also some awesome major prizes!
CRAFT AND FOOD STALLS
Treat your taste buds with hot and cold delights put on by many of the local clubs and take a look at some of the works from talented Taranaki arts and crafts people.
These stalls ave already confirmed they will be there!
MISS OPUNAKE, BABY TOTS, MISS TEEN &
Always a headline act at the beach carnival - the four competition categories allow for lots of people to get involved and strut their stuff on stage. If you or someone you know wants to be part of it this year, here's how to enter!
There are quick draw raffles drawn each hour from 10am - 2pm with great prizes to be won.
Starting at 10am and running through until mid-afternoon, the Opunake Beach Carnival has something for the whole family to enjoy. Food, music, entertainment, prizes, and the stunning beach venue to top it all off! The organising team is busy working on some new additions this year so check back here for updates.
DISCO AT THE SURF CLUB
Straight after the Pool Party it's your chance to head down to the beach for a disco at the Surf Club. It goes from 7-9 pm
Enjoy performances from some young local talent throughout the day as a wide range of buskers get there chance to share a few tracks with the crowd.
